Founded in 1938 by Vic Edelbrock Sr., Edelbrock began in Los Angeles with the iconic “Slingshot” intake manifold designed for his 1932 Ford roadster—setting land-speed records and laying the foundation for a performance legend. Over the decades, the company expanded into camshafts, cylinder heads, carburetors, superchargers, fuel systems, driveline components, and even performance transmissions—backed by in-house R&D, foundries in California, and manufacturing facilities across North Carolina, Mississippi, Michigan, and Tennessee.
Today part of the Edelbrock Group (alongside COMP Cams, FAST, Russell, and others), Edelbrock continues its mission: “Driving the Future of Automotive Performance.” With over 80 years of innovation, they deliver engine components engineered for horsepower, torque, efficiency, and reliability—supporting racers, hot rodders, and enthusiasts worldwide.
From the original flathead manifolds to modern EFI systems and superchargers, Edelbrock remains a symbol of American performance heritage and engineering excellence.
