Founded in 1957 by Vern Westberg—who famously began pouring sand-cast gauge parts in his backyard—AutoMeter has grown into a globally respected leader in automotive instrumentation. Based in Sycamore, Illinois, their 100,000 sq ft ISO/TS-certified facility handles the entire production process in-house: from circuit-board printing and meter movement winding to assembly and rigorous quality testing.

AutoMeter made its name by delivering race-grade precision with its first tachometers—then continued innovating with bold product lines like Monster, Sport‑Comp, Ultra‑Lite, Phantom, Cobalt, and their advanced data loggers and LCD dash systems.

Today, they’re the only ISO‑certified micro‑air‑core gauge manufacturer in the U.S., designing both mechanical and digital solutions for street, drag, marine, motorcycle, and OEM markets and more. Through strategic acquisitions (Stack, Dedenbear, ProParts), AutoMeter has broadened into telemetry, boost control, and Bluetooth-enabled dash apps—continuing six decades of pioneering performance, accuracy, and innovation.
